Auckland City YHA, Stefanie, Germany:
Travelled around NZ, now Australia |

Auckland International YHA, Sarah, England & Wales:
Either up to the Bay of Islands, Paihia is lovely and a good base, or over to Coromandel by ferry. Don't stay in Coromandel Town though, pass through there after seeing the scenic railway and stay in Whitianga instead. |

Christchurch City Central YHA, Helen, Australia:
The fish and chip shop next door. |

Christchurch, Rolleston House YHA, Clare, Ireland (Republic of):

Queenstown Lakefront YHA, Anand, New Zealand:
After hiking Gondala, i wanted to eat lunch and having seen captions in Youth Hostel, i went to Little India restaurant in Queenstown. I ordered Kashmiri Palao which is very tasty dish by itself in India. I was treated with uncooked bald, disgusting stuff. Not able to eat it, i ordered for another dish and forget 10% discount, they have billed me 15 % additional GST which they did not communicate earlier on pretext of public holiday. I wish i know some process by which i can complain the treatment and mischievous, annoying smile when questioned about the quality of food. Wish there is a process of consumer protection group, i can take this issue so that no body suffers. Please black list Little India as a place to eat food. My suggestion is to buy things and have the pleasure of cooking and eating with co-travelers sharing experience and making friends, alternative visit a good hotel. |
